Food Supplements
Food supplements may be prescribed to prevent certain long-term chronic imbalances or to establish a sound constitution, but they also have a role to play in acute common conditions such as indigestion, premenstrual syndrome, sore eyes, coughs and colds, and general infections. Obviously, they cannot relieve pain instantly, but the condition can improve within 24 hours or so.
Initially, self-diagnosis and prescription are to be discouraged, but once you have established your needs in acute situations, you could take the supplements as and when required, remembering always to adhere to the recommended daily intake.
